On the evening of our Christmas celebration, we ended up having roughly 120 people attend — about half being ESL students and the other half being friends and family of the Thai members of our congregation.
A big thank you to everyone who helped to provide food, notably the ladies of EW, who provided lots of sweets. Although with the crowd that we had, we ended up running out of food pretty quick (as we were estimating 40-50 people based on last year’s numbers).
We began our time with some fun and games led by Karn and Pat.
Then, we had a powerful praise and worship session, led by the Burmese worship team from Lighthouse Church in Bangbuathong – including a reenactment of the birth of Jesus.
We were blessed to have Panya Ektrakul from GES and Dong Moontrkorn from iServe share their testimonies.
Michael Andreassen shared a message on the true meaning of Christmas – including a Gospel message at the end.
Those who were interested in knowing more about God and how to accept Him & follow Him were asked to come forward and light a candle – to which 21 people responded!! We were all pretty blown away, and it was awesome to see God work in the lives and hearts of so many. We will be following up on those who responded soon!
We ended the evening by giving away prizes.
God is so good! Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making the evening possible! Please keep the Thai Fellowship in your prayers and contact Michael – michael.a@cccthailand.org if you are interested in helping!
