Ministry Spotlight: Children’s Church – Mind on a Mission
February 2018
Do these people look familiar?
How about these people?
In Children’s church, we are taking it seriously to come together as a community of believers; we are becoming disciples (that means students) of Christ. Christ wants us to love each other. We have decided to show our love and reach out in a very real way to other kids from another nation.
Remember those kids that came at Christmas time to sing and dance? Some of them are in that first picture of the girls in pink. Some of us from Children’s Church visited their school in December. We found out that the girls’ dormitory in Thoo Mweh Khee School is not safe.
Their dormitory has scary wiring that is such a fire hazard we have to do something now!
We are making yummy baked goods and cards that remind us of God’s Love.
We are selling these in our community to help our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Having a bake sale may seem like a small thing to do, but we hope it will help keep our friends safe and show that we are Christians by our love. We know that God can do mighty things. Last year He helped us raise enough money to raise that roof you see us standing under up in Thoo Mweh Khee!
